Now, not only Muntinlupa is anti-plastic. They’re already packing our groceries in paper bags and cardboard boxes here in Las Pinas City.
Since January 2, the city has begun implementing ordinance number 1036-11 banning plastic bags.
Mom usually brings her canvas bags to the supermarket every Wednesday. She didn’t bring hers on this Thursday, only to find that everyday will be plastic-free.
One thing though—the paper bags are still no match for frozen goods, which we always buy in the groceries.
Overheard: “Watch out when inviting friends here. Bawal na kasi ang plastic.”

Let’s go LP! :-)

Woo, Las Pinas! :)
